LICENCE CONTROLLER QUALIFICATION

All licenced premises must have a Duty Manager on duty at all times that liquor is being sold and The Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) is the pre-requisite training that must be completed before you can apply for a General Managers Certificate.

LCQ training includes the following NZQA Units;

Demonstrate Knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and it’s implications for licensed premises

Demonstrate Knowledge of Host Responsibility requirements as a duty manager of licensed premises
Our LCQ Course is run over one day and we provide you with your course material when you attend your training. To achieve your LCQ you will need to complete 2 written assessments in a supervised environment in order to prove your knowledge and understanding.

We offer regular public courses in various parts of the country and can also deliver private courses for groups at your chosen venue.
